This smartly designed piece of photojournalistic work follows New Zealand photographer Connew on a journey into the Burmese jungle as he spends time covering the Karen Rebels--a minority group in Burma who oppose the ruling elite. Connew's photography is excellent, his writing engaging, and the emotional impact of this work undeniable.
Regular edition is out-of-print. On the Way to an Ambush is now available as a signed, numbered, limited edition of 100, with a multi-media package of book, an archival print of the cover image, and a DVD which is encased in a felt sleeve.
Last 100-copy limited edition, multi-media package of book, signed digital pigment print on archival Hahnemuhle cotton rag paper of the cover image, and DVD of a 46-minute narration and slide show, first delivered in 1998, of the book's material.
