A design-savvy publisher with a smart eye for young, new artists has, for the past couple of years, been quietly putting out incredible books. Three of their newest titles deserve mention here. Ok, Ok, Ok is a collection of recent Polaroids taken across the United States by Los Angeles photographer Mike Slack. Crushed is a book of photographs by Jason Fulford. He states, simply enough, that it's about sadness and humour, and so it is. The Company of Strangers pulls together a wonderfully lighthearted (but not comical) collection of photographs made while on lunch, in Manhattan. Each book is a handsome object in its own right-don't question, just buy. You won't be let down.
