This is our first catalog of photography books in over ten years. The 216 publications included span a period from World War I to the present and are grouped according to six overlapping topical areas: American Photography, Artists’ Books, The Concerned Photographer, the Institute of Design, Japanese Photography, and photography books on Paris. Each section opens with a brief essay by an expert in the area. The books are presented alongside photographs in the exhibition of the same name.
