New Exhibition in Our Santa Fe Gallery - Invented
Reality
October
18 through November 30, 2002
Invented Reality features photographs by Kahn &
Selesnick, Didier Massard, Laurent Millet, and Jo Whaley.
Each photographer exhibited constructs a scene, either narrative,
sculptural or environmental, which is then photographed. Didier
Massard, featured below, constructs miniature table top landscapes
that contain stunning detail and dramatic lighting. The resulting
photograph evokes a fantastical world reminiscent of a magical
realism painting.

Gossage: The Romance Industry
"It
started with a letter sent on the 26th of May 1998 by Dr.
Sandro Mescola." In the letter, Gossage was invited to work
on a project to document "the city of Venice's industrial
transformation." Pay special attention to the chapter entitled,
"The Contents of a Laboratory." The photographs pleasantly
conjure up Calder and Diebenkorn is an effortless, unintentional
manner.
