Raymond Meeks' new portfolio
"I don't know that a telling portrait can be made without some sort of an accord, a give and take between the photographer and the subject, an agreed collaboration. Even with this understanding, I set out to photograph athletes at the 2002 Winter Olympics...The wet plate ambrotype process requires that the glass plate be coated, exposed and developed right away... It was with great anticipation that I would exit the darkroom with my dripping plate, to discover what the athlete had offered."—Raymond Meeks |

Lee Miller: Portraits from a Life
Miller left the United States for Paris in 1929 as a legendary fashion model; her goal was to study photography, which she did under Man Ray, becoming a disciple of the Surrealists and quickly gaining a reputation as a fine documentary and fashion photographer. This is the only in-print book on her life, and is a fine retrospective.

Abelardo Morell: A Book of Books—Signed
This is a true book-lover's book, albeit a book of unusual books. Morrell's photographic style is to use raking light to accentuate the subtle differences in tonality and surface, creating a rich sense of texture and tension.
