"As a smaller scale surrogate of the original, the miniature seems to imply the existence of some kind of alternative universe where we—as larger bodies—are like gods, omnipotent and seemingly in control."—Cynthia Greig |

Andrea Modica: Barbara—Signed
"I met Barbara in 1986, when she was seven years old...We talked, and I took some photographs. This began a fifteen-year relationship...
Later, Barbara was diagnosed with a severe case of diabetes that, we were told, would kill her...The photographs in this book were taken during her last year...Barb was bedridden during this time, unable to move much. Through a great deal of the photographing she was asleep. Otherwise, we talked. As always there was an enormous range of emotions between us. Barbara passed away Sunday, October 7, 2001 from complications due to juvenile diabetes."—Andrea Modica READ MORE

Daido Moriyama
"This book brings together more than 200 photographs dating from the 1960s to the present and includes some of Moriyama's most significant series of images. Often out of focus, vertiginously tilted, or invasively cropped, Moriyama's images convey a sense of the disordered human condition."—the publisher READ MORE

Helen Levitt: Here and There
"Here and There, a charming monograph featuring over ninety never-before-published photographs, including portraits of her friends James Agee and Walker Evans. The recently discovered photographs featured in Here and There represent Levitt's own favorite images selected from her immense private collection. Shot over seven decades, Here and There reveals Levitt's acute sense of how cosmetically street life has changed—and how substantially it has remained the same."

Jim Dine: This Goofy Life of Constant Mourning
"This Goofy Life of Constant Mourning is the sincere title of a long visual poem by artist Jim Dine. The result of years of photographing poems after he has written them on walls and objects, it presents a symbiotic marriage of three very personal elements: his photographs, his handwriting, and his words."—the publisher READ MORE
