photo-eye Gallery presents Mona Kuhn: Photographs Opening this Friday June 25th 5-7 pm
Mona Kuhn Photographs is the first stateside exhibition of Kuhn's color work in conjunction with her previous black-and-white images. The show coincides with the release of her first major monograph published by Steidl. Commencing with the high-art canon of the human figure, Kuhn dissects the elements of light and shadow to reconfigure the representation of the nude.
Mona Kuhn will be present at the gallery opening and book signing on June 25th, 2004 from 5-7pm. Lecture to be held at the CCA, June 27th, 2pm. $4 general admission, $3 students.

Mark Petrick's portfolio An India
"I went to India to look at common things—temples and houses; people sitting, walking, working, worshipping; rivers and mountains; streets and shops; goddesses and gods; signs, pictures...With the plain medium of black and white film (and self-conscious nods to the history and heroes of photography) I recorded thousands of scenes while wrapped in Mother India's resonance."—Mark Petrick
