Published simultaneously in English as The Decisive Moment (a more literal translation of the title—and possibly more evocative—would be 'Images on the Run'), this is, without doubt, one of the holy grails of photobook collecting. "[T]he concept of the 'decisive moment'...defines the elegance of Cartier-Bresson's imagery: the instant when all the elements in the picture-frame come together to make the perfect image—not the peak of action necessarily, but the formal peak....[It] is one of the greatest of all photobooks."—Parr & Badger

"...the power of the book lies in what the photographer reveals about himself between the lines: an admiration for men who've seen some of the worst that life can dish out and still retained their self-respect; and the all-too-realistic fear that, should we fall away from the small world that knows and cares for us, we may well be left to die alone and unremembered."—PHIL HARRIS READ MORE

Eri Morita: Home Drama Eri Morita: Home Drama—Signed
Along the lines of Jessica Backhaus, Julie Blackmon, Julian Germain and many others, Morita has begun to carve out her own niche in the "portrait narrative" genre. Through an intimate approach these images tackle a very personal subject. However, there is a certain sense of isolated dreaminess among the juxtaposed landscapes and portraits. READ MORE
