Willy Ronis: Belleville-Menilmontant Willy Ronis: Belleville-Menilmontant
Willy Ronis is one of the last of the surviving documentary photographers in the humanist tradition of Kertesz and Cartier-Bresson. Ever respectful of his subjects, Ronis's gaze is always affectionate and discrete. A masterpiece of book design and typography, the images contained in Belleville-Menilmontant are certainly among Ronis's finest and provide an essential point of entry into his work.

Bill Wittliff: La Vida Brinca Bill Wittliff: La Vida Brinca
"Using a tiny aperture without a lens to shine light on a piece of film, pinhole cameras accumulate light until an image forms. Bill Wittliff calls the cameras he makes tragaluces, 'light swallowers.' He makes images that forsake the documentary realism of traditional photography to disclose instead the presence of the mystical in the everyday world."—the publisher READ MORE

Thomas Struth: Still Thomas Struth: Still
A monumental figure in contemporary photography, Struth works in a style that is at once reserved and revealing. This monograph, originally available from Germany, quickly went out-of-print, and we are happy to offer it once again.
