IN THE REVIEWS:

"Dona Schwartz's In the Kitchen has something to do with cooking, but it's more a stew of familial observations. I was already familiar with this body of work, but seeing it in book form made it even more meaningful. The book affords the luxury of reading Alison Nordstrom's insightful and intelligent introduction before spending time with Schwartz's layered and revealing photographs, plus her own introduction, all enhanced by the poetry of Marion Winik, who wrote specifically for the project. It's a wonderful look into a life and room filled with complexities, yet comfortingly normal and true."— from Aline Smithson's review of In the Kitchen with photographs by Dona Schwartz

Michael Kenna: Boarding School Michael Kenna: Boarding School
"Michael Kenna's humorous and very touching One Picture Book takes the form of a photographically-illustrated memoir of his childhood studies at Upholland College in England, where he studied to become a Catholic priest. Boarding School offers a rare glimpse into the personal side of this internationally-known but very private artist. It culminates with an original signed print made from an early negative" — the publisher

Carla Van De Puttelaar: Galateas Carla Van De Puttelaar: Galateas—Signed
"'It is very tempting to call the women Carla van de Puttelaar has photographed for this book 'Sleeping Beauties'. After all, they are often lying on a bed and they always have their eyes closed. We know they are not really sleeping. They have adopted a sleeping pose on the photographer's instructions. They are posing as Sleeping Beauties." —the publisher

We currently have 3 signed copies in stock.
