From Down Country
"Like James Agee and Walker Evans's seminal publication, Let Us Now Praise Famous Men, the book that introduces the viewer to the landscape of southern poverty during the first great American depression, Down Country begins with the images. And so it should — to begin to know the landscape of the Galisteo Basin in north central New Mexico, one must walk it as intimately as Lucy Lippard and Edward Ranney have for the past 35+ years." —From Mary Anne Redding's review of Down Country by Lucy R. Lippard. Photographs by Edward Ranney

From Vedove/Widows
"I've enjoyed Homma's books from outside Japan (his work in Poland, Denmark and Russia) for his sensitive response to light and architecture in often seemingly bland motives. The book "Widows" sprung from a commission of the Rapallo photofestival and is a small treasure and sight to behold: two soft cover books in a jacket, held together with an elastic band." —From Sebastian Arthur Hau's review of Vedove/Widows by Takashi Homma

| Lee Friedlander: The American Monument A brilliant book, conceptually ambitious in the manner of the New Topographic school of Adams and Baltz, but with a deadpan wit that is Friedlander's own.
"Almost maniacally inclusive, rounding up everything from Plymouth Rock to a plaque commemorating the Pony Express in Salt Lake City and treating them with the same nonchalance. The doggedness of Friedlander's quest is at once astounding and hilarious...History stalks the landscape at every turn."—Vince Aletti |

Useful Photography #008 features a collection of stills taken from opening scenes and in so doing celebrates the talents of actors not usually noted for their acting ability. Images have been collected and edited by Hans Aarsman, Erik Kessels and Hans van der Meer, among others."—the publisher READ MORE
