Photographer's Showcase: Paradise City - Landscape/Human Interaction & Dynamic Surfaces
The Carrara region of Tuscany, Italy is long famous for the marble that bears its name. Its quarries have been active for centuries, and out of its stone mountains have come the building blocks for great pieces of art and architecture: the Pantheon, Trajan's Column, Michelangelo's David, Duomo di Siena, Sheikh Zayed Mosque. Hans Bol's initial interest in marble started as a challenge — a masterful photographic printer, Bol wanted to attempt to capture the subtle hue of the marble's surface in a photograph.

A Closer Look: Mom & Dad
"'Now that we have become well acquainted with the persona of Terry Richardson, one that he plays with frequently as seen on his blog, we are given a personal glimpse at the man behind the muttonchops, glasses and plaid. In Mom & Dad, Richardson presents two volumes of photographs of his parents, one of his mother and one of his father. He has said that this was an important reuniting of his parents for him — though in book form, at least, each remains divided in their separate volume — brought together only by a frustratingly tight slipcase." — from Sarah Bradley's post on Mom & Dad by Terry Richardson on photo-eye Blog

Billy Monk: Night Club Photographs
"'Billy was a crook... he would do anything to survive and he wasn't even a good bouncer. A good bouncer doesn't need to half-kill.' Add photographer to the professions of crook and bouncer and you get an idea of where the work of Billy Monk is coming from." — Colin Pantall from the review of Billy Monk: Night Club Photographs by Billy Monk

American Faith by Christopher Churchill
"'In a nation polarized by starkly different personal and cultural beliefs, it's hard to imagine that Christopher Churchill's monograph American Faith wouldn't have its own slanted perspective. The title alone conjures a notion of an America deeply enveloped in a veil of religious temperament. Political America is without a doubt divided among the lines of those of faith and those without. So it was a surprising revelation to absorb Churchill's first publication and have my own assumptions of what the definition of faith is and can be thrown out the window." — Antone Dolezal from the review of American Faith by Christopher Churchill
