Just arrived at our warehouse, signed copies of Guardians by Andy Freeberg, winner of a 2008 Critical Mass book award and just published by Photolucida. The "guardians" are a group of Russian women now retired from their professional lives, who spend their days watching over the vast collection of masterpieces held in Russian museums. The series is beautiful and contributes to the rapidly growing reputation of the Critical Mass book awards as among the most exciting new publications each year. Signed copies now in stock.
Arriving soon, copies of Open Shutters Iraq, published by Trolley Books in London. Open Shutters is a participatory photography and writing project founded in 2004 by British photographer Eugenie Dolberg, now based in London and Tehran. Open Shutters Iraq presents 9 photographic essays and texts from women all over Iraq who were trained in both disciplines by Dolberg. This book is supremely powerful, heartbreaking and sublimely beautiful — easily the most important book of photographs on Iraq since Baghdad Calling in 2008. Copies are arriving soon, now available for preorder.
Please note that adding a book to your shopping cart does not reserve a copy; orders must be finalized to appear in our system. However, due to the extremely limited number of some books, we cannot guarantee a copy for every finalized order.
