Chronology

 
1952 Born, Rochester, NY
   
1974 While living and working in Europe for many years, the seeds were planted for my interest in the link between historical events and the human condition.
   
1983 Discussions began with pinhole photographer and educator Jerry Stratton on the nature of creativity and photographic mark-making. These discussions continue to this day.
   
1985 An antique panoramic camera belonging to my great-grandfather became my primary photographic tool.
   
1995 Read a human interest story in the New York Times on traditional apple growing in Japan. This leads eventually to the "Seeking Perfection" project.
   
1998 Research trip to France inspires "Tears of Stone" project.
