Chronology

1957 Born, Amsterdam (NL)

1985 A photograph of Art Sinsabaugh, carrying his 12x20" mammoth camera, somewhere in Chicago in 1965, triggered my interest in ultra-large format.

1991 I met Michael A. Smith and Paula Chamlee. Their knowledge of large-format photography helped me to find my way in using the 8x20" format.

1995 In the mid-nineties I got in touch with Josef Koudelka's 'The Black Triangle'; this remarkable body of work reconfirmed my thinking and my interest in the damaged landscape.
