Chronology

 
1950 Born, Albany, Georgia
   
1965 My Dad, an amateur photographer, taught me darkroom fundamentals.
   
1979 Began photo documentary project on the work of Bread & Roses, a non-profit organization that provides free, live entertainment in institutions.
   
1982 Began "Men and Masculinity: an Exploration of Manhood", an introspective photo documentary project.
   
1988 Studied with photographer Michelle Vignes whose support, encouragement, and critical eye continue to sustain me.
   
1992 Began working as a volunteer docent at the Friends of Photography Museum in San Francisco.
   
1993 Began photographing "Treehouses, Hideouts and Forts: the Special Places of Childhood".
   
1995 Began photographing "Liberty at Large: Replicas of Statues of Liberty around the World."
   
2002 Exhibited and lectured at Encuentros Abiertos de Fotografia, an international photography festival in Buenos Aires.
   
2004 Exhibited and lectured a second time at the biannual Encuentros Abiertos de Fotografia.
