Ed Templeton

Ed Templeton is a professional skateboarder and artist based in Huntington Beach, California. He was a two time world champion in the early 1990's. He has exhibited his artwork worldwide, including the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, Museum Het Domein, Netherlands, and Kiasma Museum, Helsinki, as well as being part of the seminal Beautiful Losers exhibition and feature film. He owns Toy Machine Bloodsucking Skateboard Company that has been in business since 1993 and has produced some of the industries most legendary skateboard videos in Welcome to Hell (1995) and Good and Evil. (2004) In 2008 a book of Templeton's photographs, Deformer, was published in Italy and recently won first prize at the International Festival of Photography in Rome. In 2010 he will be having a mid-career retrospective of his work at the SMAK Museum in Ghent, Belgium. Templeton is represented in the United States by Roberts & Tilton Gallery, Los Angeles.
