I keep coming back to this book over and over again. There is a balancing act between light and darkness within the images. For me, it conjures up feelings of loss, neglect, rebirth and hope, at least the last time I viewed it from beginning to end. However, that interpretation will most likely continue to evolve the next time I open it and that's why I love it.
An incredible window into the past. These images were taken between 1910-1913 during the ill-fated Terra Nova expedition in Antarctica. These unpublished photos had apparently languished in a commercial archive for decades.
A small intimate book where I am able to lose myself for a while. A really beautiful discovery.
