While in graduate school, I became inspired by the painters of the Italian Renaissance and tried to work photographically with their visual ideas.
|

2001
|
My first trip to Ukraine was my introduction to the former Soviet Union. Ukrainian hospitality signaled the beginning of my "Russia love."
|
|
|
2008
|
Two journeys to Siberia inspired me to empty out the photographic frame and let the vast spaciousness of land, water and sky support the picture.
