This book is the only full-scale account of Rauschenberg's life created with his complete cooperation. From his childhood in Texas, to his time at Black Mountain College and his friendships with various well-known figures in the art world, we follow the path of Rauschenberg's life and experiences. The book's illustrations include works of art as well as personal photographs. A special feature is the first-time publication of his most recent and significant creation, the Rauschenberg Overseas Culture Interchange, a continually evolving body of work developed and exhibited throughout the world.
