A fascination with the Flatiron Building led Peter Kreitler to assemble this remarkable collection of photographs of the building, ranging from its construction to the present day. Among the images are classic depictions by such photographers as Alfred Stieglitz, Berenice Abbott, Joel Meyerowitz, George Tice, Lee Friedlander, and others. The images are arranged chronologically along with quotations from historical and literary sources. The result is both a photographic history and a visual essay on photographing a work of architecture in its setting.
