This is a major collection of White's photographs dating from 1938-1975, with a concentration on the 1940s and 1950s, the period during which White produced the largest number of images. Also includes a selection of White's letters, many addressed to luminaries of the photography world, as well as a biographical chronology and a text by Peter Bunnell, Professor of the History of Photography at Princeton University. Only a quarter of the photographs in this beautifully printed study have been previously reproduced.
