This volume explores photography's ability to bring life to art works designed to be seen in three. Includes work by William Henry Fox Talbot, Roger Fenton, Charles Negré, Edward Steichen, Eugéne Atget, Berenice Abbott, Charles Sheeler, Lee Friedlander, Andy Warhol, and Robert Mapplethorpe. Richard Benson, one of the world's foremost authorities on photographic printmaking, supervised the printing. The resulting reproduction, done in tritone, are magnificent.
