For more than 20 years Michael Ruetz photographed the scene from the same point of view – in spring and at New Year's, at twilight, in fog, during thunderstorms, under darkening clouds, in the loveliest sunshine and on clear, starry nights.
The apparently never-changing landscape has many faces. Ruetz patiently observed a single subject instead of making superficial shots of many things in rapid succession. The principle of unchanging repetition reveals that the subject can be the way it is only one time as captured in this one photo. Eye on Infinity lets the eye linger without end.
