Publisher's Description
For several years, Nancy Rexroth photographed her memories of Iowa with a plastic Diana camera, making images which evoke a state of mind more than a physical place. In fact, most of the photographs were made in Ohio, where Rexroth lives.
As Mark Power writes in his introduction, "Iowa in Ohio," Rexroth's Iowa is a memory from her childhood past: "The results are these intimate photographs, private and beautiful, which extend traditional ideas about the camera's descriptive abilities. . .They are autobiographical vignettes, not environments, social landscapes, or documents." A beautifully designed and printed book.
