Blind Spot #10.

Photographs by Gregory Crewdson, Teun Hocks, Richard Misrach, Larry Sultan, Martin Parr, and Laurie Simmons. Text by Joan Fontcuberta.
Lexington Color Labs, New York, 1997. Unpaged, numerous color and duotone illustrations, 9x10½".

The latest issue of Blind Spot is another mysterious collection of contemporary photographs, seemingly revolving around surrealism and the odd vantage point. Of particular note are new images by the Starn Twins, Teun Hocks bizarre mythologies, Gregory Crewdson's arial views of strange events in Lee, Massachussetts, and works by Richard Misrach, Lou Reed, Marilyn Bridges, and Laurie Simmons. Joan Fontcuberta's visual essay of the mysterious disappearance of Soviet Cosmonaut Ivan Istochnikov is quite intriguing as are Larry Sultan's new images, from the series What Remains After Things Fall Apart.
