Publisher's Description
Kenro Izu: Blue.
A lifetime commitment to the craft of printing has culminated in Izu
recently developing an exciting and unique process that has never before
been used. Cyanotype-blue abstract forms emerge from deep platinum shadows
immersing the viewer in a multi-layered viewing experience. The result is a
perfect synthesis of subject and medium. The tactile surface qualities and
rich tonalities of Izu’s prints reflect a mood and aesthetic that has
affinities with the early Pictorialist photographers as well as with his
Japanese heritage. Izu’s tranquil compositions inspire a meditation on the
mystery of form, time and space.
