Publisher's Description

Peter Bialobrzeski explores in his new project Eden the boundaries between picture taking and pictures making. Shot at the “Cradle of Humankind” in South Africa in December 2010 the well known photo artist looks at the relationship between belief and science. The place itself which is meant to be the cradle of civilisation turns into a Paradise in the images of Peter Bialobrzeski. The artist: It is of course not the kitschy place the creationists have hijacked in order to circulate their crude theories of anti-scientific, fascist-derivative concepts of Christianity. Nevertheless it is this contradiction between science and belief that fuels an emotion to create images of rare beauty.”
