Silas Finch, 2014. 102 pp., 42 color illustrations, 11½x13½".

Publisher's Description

Equipped with a large format view camera, and inspired by the poetry of Richard Hugo, Bryan Schutmaat combines portraits, landscapes, and still lifes in a series of photos that explores the lives of working people residing in small mountain towns and mining communities in the American West. Ultimately, this body of work is a meditation on small town life, the landscape, and the inner landscapes of common men.

Includes 42 full color plates printed with UV inks on Mohawk Superfine uncoated paper. Flexible offset-printed cover. Screwpost binding with custom fabricated steel spine.

In the second edition, the artist has chosen to remove one image from the sequence, and has added one new image at the end of the book.
