Publisher's Description

“Year of the Beast” is a stream of consciousness photobook spanning 2020. A chronological diary featuring dogs, twins, and domestic scenes from rural Vermont, under a looming specter of doom.

Tara Wray’s recent photobooks include “Too Tired for Sunshine” (Yoffy Press, 2018), and “El Dorado Freddy's” (collaboration with Danny Caine, Belt Publishing, 2020). Previous photo work in Vice, Washington Post, NPR, Boston Globe, HuffPost, BUST Magazine, and Polish Vogue. Wray has exhibited in galleries and museums in the US and Europe, most recently at Kunst Haus Wien, Museum Hundertwasser in Vienna. Her work is held in the permanent collections of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art, the George Eastman Museum Library, the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library at Yale, and the Snite Museum of Art at the University of Notre Dame. She is founder of the Too Tired Project, a photo based non-profit that showcases work documenting the lived experience of depression. Wray lives and works in rural Vermont.
