Nagele is a small town in the Netherlands that was conceived of and built after the second World War. The architects' aim was to build an ideal community on the newly reclaimed land. Nagele portrays the town as a typically Dutch community, well organized and highly ordered, focusing on its inhabitants, families, landscapes, and social and cultural activities. The text by Anneke van Veen briefly sketches the history of the village and incorporates a number of interviews with the residents of Nagele.
