Wave Hill Pictured.

Celebration of a Garden.

Photographs by Lois Conner, Jan Groover, Stephen A. Scheer, and Phillip Trager. Text by Jean E. Feinberg. Essay by Peter H. Sauer.
Harry N. Abrams, New York, 1991. 167 pp., 68 duotone plates and 40 full-color plates, 10¾x10".

Wave Hill was once a working farm, then a private estate, and now it is public garden owned by the City of New York. The garden is twenty-eight acres along the lower Hudson River in Riverdale, New York. Wave Hill commissioned four prominent American photographers: Lois Conner, Jan Groover, Stephen A. Scheer, and Phillip Trager, to create a series of photographic essays about the park. These beautiful works are reproduced here in color and duotone plates along with essays about the garden and the shaping of this photographic project. This book will be of interest to photo buffs and also to garden enthusiasts.
