Photographs and text by Tim Page. Introduction by William Shawcross.
Thames & Hudson, New York, 1995. 120 pp., 80 color and 14 black-and-white illustrations, 8¼x10½".

Tim Page is best known for this book, his documentary of the Vietnam War. Sometimes appalling, sometimes grotesque, the images are always moving and human, communicating his vision of the simultaneous power and absurdity of war. Some of his finest work was done in the midst of combat, in which he was wounded five times, the last of which severely enough to force his retirement from the battlefield. A stunning collection of images by this renowned and daring photographer.
