Publisher's Description
Before Lost&Found Project founded, 'Salvage Memory' project recovered photographs swept away by the tsunami and returned them to their owners.
While many of the photographs were returned, there were which were too badly damaged to be returned. Munemasa Takahashi, a photographer, and Kazuto Hoshi, a resident of Yamamoto who were involved in 'Salvage Memory' conceived of an idea to exhibit these damaged photos which would otherwise be thrown out. That is the start of Lost & Found Project. The shows placed on many places in Japan, Aperture gallery in NY, CCP in Melbourne, FOTOGTAFIA in Rome, Italy, etc.
This book is a record of this project and also a book to remember people what our photographs are like in our life.
