Met James Card, film curator at the George Eastman House, who was a juror for a National Student Film Festival I organized at Wellesley. He later wrote me that I was a marked woman and he counted on me to make memorable images.

Seeing Berenice Abbott's masterful photographs of 3 completely different subjects: portraits, New York City, and science at MoMA. Utterly inspiring.

Seeing Eikoh Hosoe's elegant, spiritual nudes from his Embrace Series at Light Gallery in NYC.

Seeing the retrospective of Edward Weston's work at MoMA.

My year in Greece on the Wellesley Traveling Fellowship was a rare opportunity to live in terms of daily risks and passions, close to the land. It resulted in creative leaps with my Nudes in Water series.
